Batognica

Description of mountain:
Batognica is 2164 meters high mountain, which was during the 1st world war marked by so-called mine war. Remains of the mine war between Italian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers are still visible today at every step of the upper slope of the mountain. Crater of the explosion in which exploded 4100 kg of nitroglycerin blasting gelatine, is today still clearly visible from surrounding peaks.
Otherwise, from Batognica is a nice view towards Krn, Kanin, Vrh nad Peski and a large part of the highest peaks of Julian and Kamnik Savinja Alps.
