Description of mountain:
Ilijin vrh or also Sveti Ilija is the main peak of the mountain ridge Sniježnica Konavoska, which is also the southernmost mountain ridge of Dinaric Alps in Croatia.
The summit is located above the settlement Kuna Konavoska and it is also the highest peak of Dubrovnik-Neretva county.
On the top there is a meteorological station, transmitter and chapel of St. Ilija. Inscription book is located in the chapel, and the stamp on the wall, right above the door.
In good weather there is a breathtaking view on all sides, on hills along and over the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the mountain ridge Orjen in Montenegro and towards the entrance into Bay of Kotor.
Towards the south we have a view towards the open sea, and towards the southwest on a runway of airport Čilipi. On the west we see island Lokrum, part of old Dubrovnik, Babin Kuk and Elaphiti Islands.
Far on the horizon we see island Mljet. Above the hidden Dubrovnik is rising hill Srđ.
