Koča na Vrhu Svetih Treh Kraljev

Description of mountain hut:
The mountain hut is situated only few minutes below 884 meters high peak Vrh Svetih Treh Kraljev. To the hut, which is situated in Rovtarsko hribovje we can come also on an asphalted road from Logatec, Horjul and Žiri direction. The roads join already few kilometers before the mountain hut. In front of the mountain hut, which is surrounded by forest, there are situated some wooden tables and benches. Because of the already mentioned forest, there isn't any view. Only a minute below the mountain hut, in the time between the first and second world war, they started building a military tunnel, which they didn't finish. During the construction (excavation) they ran into an underground cave with more than a kilometer long and up to 70 meters deep web of tunnels. In the cave we find aragonite and helictite formations.
