St. Martin (Graz)

Description of church:
Church of St. Martin is according to records the oldest church in Graz.
At this spot it probably stood already in 9th or 10th century, and first time it was mentioned in the year 1055.
Near the church stands a castle, which was the first time mentioned in 11th century. In 16th century it was renovated into renaissance castle.
Church and castle are on the southeastern foot of the hill Buchkogel.
