Description of mountain:
Turjak castle (in Slovenian Grad Turjak or Turjaški grad, in German Burg Ursperg, later renamed into Schloss Auersperg) is situated by the edge of the settlement Turjak, and it got its name after a wild cattle aurochs, which today doesn't exist anymore, because it is already extinct. The castle, which we know today was built after the earthquake in the year 1511, before that on Turjak there were two castles, namely the bottom and the upper. The first of them was built in 10th or 11th century, even though it is the first time mentioned only in the year 1220. The castle is today still well preserved and therefore worth seeing. The interior of the castle we can view on Saturdays and Sundays (the price to see it in the year 2012 was 3 eur for adults and 2 eur for kids, larger groups have a discount).
