Ukanc - Dom na Komni (via Ražnova Suha)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, then follow the signs for Lake Bohinj and the Vogel ski resort. The described path starts at the bottom station of the cable car to Vogel, but since parking by the cableway is allowed only for Vogel visitors, we park at the Ukanc parking lot (the parking lot is paid). This extends the path by approximately 5 minutes.

Path description:
Below the bottom station of the cableway on Vogel we notice a forest road (in winter a ski run), which starts to ascend moderately towards the west. The path ahead continues for some time gently to moderately ascending, then brings us out of the forest onto a panoramic slope, from where a beautiful view opens up on Komarča, Pršivec and Lake Bohinj.
When the road or ski run turns left and starts to ascend more steeply, we pay attention, as after approximately 100 meters, on the right side we notice a cairn, by which the hunting path starts, which after a short crossing starts to ascend more steeply through the forest. Higher the trail temporarily flattens and crosses somewhat steeper slopes towards the right. From here a beautiful view of the surroundings opens up for a short time, then the path returns to the forest, through which it starts to ascend more steeply again. On some spots the somewhat overgrown path brings us higher to a larger rock (picture no. 17), behind which after some 10 m we arrive at an unmarked junction.
From the junction, by which there is also a smaller cairn, we continue right (the left path leads towards the mountain pasture Planina za Migovcem) and continue the path for approximately 10 minutes without major changes in elevation. A short quite steep ascent follows and the path brings us to the hunting hut Na Melu.
Some 10 steps ahead from the hunting hut we arrive at the next junction, from which we continue left (straight leads the abandoned path to Pleše, continuation towards Komna is also possible, right downwards descends the abandoned path towards Koča pri Savici). Further the worse trail enters the Ražnova Suha valley, where we ascend through the forest for some time. During the ascent there are some fallen trees over the path, and otherwise the path is quite overgrown. Higher the path flattens and brings us out of the forest to the head of Ražnova Suha. Here we first ascend along the left edge of the cirque, then the barely noticeable trail ascends diagonally to the right, so that we pass from the northern to the southeastern slopes. The southeastern slopes become quite steep, and the path leads us over a short quite steep grassy slope, where especially when wet there is a great risk of slipping. A few more minutes of diagonal ascent to the right follow, and when the steep slope is replaced by cliffs, the path turns left, so that for some time we ascend diagonally to the left. When a little higher we reach the small valley between Mohor on the left and Mali vrh on the right, the overgrown trail continues through the middle of the valley, higher somewhat more to the left. When we already sense that we are approaching the marked path, the trail turns left and brings us to the marked path Vogel ski resort - Komna.
We follow the marked path to the right, on which we quickly ascend to the saddle between the aforementioned peaks, where we also cross the grazing fence. A moderate descent towards the frost hollow Krošnja follows, which the path bypasses on the right side. A few more minutes of easy walking follow and we arrive at a marked junction, from which we continue right upwards (straight to mountain pasture Govnjač and Dom na Komni via the mentioned mountain pasture).
From the junction a few minutes of ascent follow, then some more descent. Lower the path flattens and from the left the path leading over mountain pasture Govnjač joins us.
We continue in the direction of Dom na Komni, which we reach after a few minutes of further walking.
