Ukanc - Dom na Komni (via Ražnova Suha)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we follow the signs for Lake Bohinj and ski slope Vogel. The described path starts at the bottom station of the cable car on Vogel, but because parking by the cableway is allowed only for visitors of Vogel, we park on a parking lot in Ukanc (parking lot is payable). This extends the path for approximately 5 minutes.

Path description:
Below bottom station of the cableway on Vogel we notice a forest road (in the winter time ski track), which starts moderately ascending towards the west. The path ahead is for some time gently to moderately ascending, and then it brings us out of the forest on a panoramic slope, from where a beautiful view opens up on Komarča, Pršivec and Lake Bohinj.
When the road or ski track turns left and starts ascending steeper, we need to pay attention, because we will after approximately 100 meters, on the right side notice a cairn, by which starts hunting path, which after a shorter crossing starts ascending steeper through the forest. Higher, the footpath for some time flattens and crosses little steeper slopes towards the right. From here for a short time a nice view opens up on surroundings, and then the path returns into the forest, through which it again starts ascending steeper. On some spots a little overgrown path, higher brings us to bigger rock (picture number 17), behind which after few 10 meters we get to an unmarked crossing.
From the crossing, by which there is also a smaller cairn, we continue right (left path leads towards the mountain pasture Planina za Migovcem) and we continue approximately 10 minutes without large changes in altitude. Next follows a short quite steep ascent and the path brings us to the hunting cottage Na Melu.
Some 10 strides ahead from the hunting cottage we get to the next crossing, from where we continue left (straight leads abandoned path on Pleše, it is also possible to continue in the direction of Komna, and right downwards descends abandoned path towards Koča pri Savici). Further worse footpath passes into a valley Ražnova Suha, where for some time we are ascending through the forest. During the ascent, there are some fallen trees on the path, and also otherwise the path is quite overgrown. Higher, the path flattens and brings us out of the forest to the gable of Ražnova Suha. Here we are at first ascending by the left edge of cirque, and then barely noticeable footpath ascends diagonally towards the right, so that from northern, we pass on the southeastern slopes. Southeastern slopes becomes pretty steep, and the path leads through short quite steep grassy slope, where it is mainly in wet great risk of slipping. Next follows few minutes of a diagonal ascent towards the right, and when steep slope is replaced by cliffs, the path turns left, so that for some time we are ascending diagonally towards the left. When a little higher we reach small valley between Mohor on the left and Mali vrh on the right, overgrown footpath continues on in the middle of valley, and higher a little more to the left. When we already have a premonition, that we are getting closer to a marked path, the footpath turns left and it brings us to a marked path ski slope Vogel - Komna.
We follow the marked path to the right, and there we quickly ascend to the saddle between the before mentioned peaks, where we also cross a grazing fence. Next follows a moderate descent towards frost hollow Krošnja, which the path bypasses on the right side. Next follows few minutes of easy walking and we get to a marked crossing, from which we continue right upward (straight mountain pasture Govnjač and Dom na Komni over the mentioned mountain pasture).
From the crossing follows few minutes of ascent, and then some more descent. Lower path flattens and from the left joins the path which leads over mountain pasture Govnjač.
We continue in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Komni, which we reach after few minutes of additional walking.
