Description of mountain:
Jamnikov spodmol on Kočna above Jesenice is a smaller cave, which is situated below the rocky wall in the western slope of Kavče (also Žerjavec), at an altitude 720 meters. Few decades ago there was found a bone harpoon, some flint flakes, teeth fragments of a brown bear, and charcoal, which ranks it among important archaeological sites with the oldest evidence of human presence in the valley Gornjesavska dolina. Based on an analysis of charcoal and bone harpoon, the finds were placed in the culture of the middle stone age or mesolithic (middle stone age). A rock shelter, which measures in height 1.7 meters, in length 8 and in depth 6.5 meters got its name after the finder, local Pavle Jamnik.
