Description of mountain:
Mali Karman is first more distinct hill at the far southwest part of foothills of Julian Alps. It is situated parallel with the main ridge of Veliki Karman as completely independent massif, they are connected only by saddle Predol. On the east the stream Vedronza cutted deep valley between them. Otherwise in spite of on appearance modest height Mali Karman isn't that meek. More than 1100 meters high is rising above Friulian plain in the shape of grassy pyramid, because of this provides exceptional view on surroundings. Only on the north side it is a little infringed, because it is veiled by higher and also quite mightier Veliki Karman, ridge of which is from here seen quite impressive. Because of exposed position on slopes of Mali Karman grows varied vegetation, among them also some endemic species. On the summit stands a chapel, dedicated to saviour (Il Redentore), which they built in the year 1908, but for long time isn't original anymore. Twenty years after formation it is damaged by lightning, entirely destroyed was after an earthquake in the year 1976. On the upper ridge of lower of both Karman peaks from all sides leads a lot of paths, so it is well visited. Even more: it is not admired only by mountaineers, but also or mainly mountain bikers and also paragliders.
