Jesenice (Ukova) - Jelenkamen (via Dole)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lipce (Jesenice east), where we turn right towards Jesenice. At the first crossroad with traffic lights on Slovenski Javornik we turn left towards the center of the town. In the second traffic light crossroad (at the secondary school) we turn sharply right back on the road Tomšičeva cesta, past the primary school on the left. Behind the school we drive past pedestrian crossing and we immediately turn in first (narrower) street on the left. When we ascend there for few 10 meters, on the right we see marked parking lot - our starting point.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road uphill. After few 10 meters on the left we notice swimming area Ukova, and on the right road which branches off uphill towards the north in the forest.
We go there, and we follow it short time, i.e. to the right turn, in front of which on the same side there is fenced water catchment. On other - left side we step on the path which cuts double turn of the road which we left. Here we also run into the first blaze. We quite quickly again cross the road, and we step on the path which starts ascending towards the north. After this when a little higher it turns left, it joins the cart track, where we run into signpost "Pristava Jelenkamen".
Here we go right on a cart track which quite quickly brings us to first bridge (stream Ukova) and immediately after this also to the second. Behind it marked path turns right and a little later also left in the direction of southeast. Further, we are for some time moderately ascending on and by winding, cart track similar path, where we all the time stick to the main - left path. When the path flattens, right on a tree we notice the sign "kapelica" (chapel) and smaller hill named Kalvarija, on which there are chapel and bench. We continue straight on our path, which narrows a little and it turns left. Immediately after this, we run into a smaller water catchment with the caption "Pristava". Here we cross small (mostly dry) riverbed of the stream and on the right we run into a bench, with source of drinking water. At this spot, we leave the marked path and we go sharply left towards the north, into steep valley (gully) between slopes of hills Jelenkamen and Lenčkov Špik. Soon when the path ascends we ignore turn-off of steep gully on the right and we continue on a path, which sticks to the edge of the main gully (of the mentioned valley). Occasionally steep, slightly winding path which leads us in the direction of northeast is partly settled for easier crossing of barriers. While walking we are accompanied by a view on a quite steep slope of neighbouring hill from the other, left side of the gully. At the crossing of one of the smaller gullies on the slope on the right we get help from a small bridge. Higher, we ignore left turn-off towards the main gully and we continue on our ascending path by the slope on the right. On the part of the path where gully loses its depth, the path for a short time flattens and then again steeply ascends towards the summit. When we come out of the forest we find ourselves by the foot of the steep meadow named Dole. Here the path turns right, back in the forest and soon brings us to a crossing on gentle part, where we step on a marked path, and we go right (left Dom Pristava, sharply left on a slope Lenčkov Špik, Španov vrh. ). After a gentle ascent the path on a wide forested ridge of Jelenkamen flattens and occasionally even descends a little. Few minutes before our destination from the left joins also less noticeable east path, and after a gentle ascent we eventually get to the south edge of the upper ridge of Jelenkamen, where a beautiful view opens up on Gorenjska. We run into a bench and on box with an inscription book, which is situated on the trunk of a tree on the right.
