Jelenkamen

Description of mountain:
Jelenkamen is a peak which belongs in northern Karawanks above Jesenice, interesting mainly for local mountaineers, some of them ascend on it more than 100 times in one year. Some 10 meters below the summit we run into a pleasant vantage point, where a view is opening up towards Jesenice and Ljubljana basin, and over plateau Mežakla on Triglav. From here, to the top the path is secured also with steel cables, which makes a tour even more interesting.
From Jelenkamen we usually continue towards daffodil plains at hut Dom na Pristavi in Javorniški rovt.
