Access to starting point:
We drive to Žiri, where we park near parish church of St. Martin.
Path description:
From the church, we continue on the main road in the direction of Škofja Loka, and there we walk to a crossroad, where signs for Goropeke point us to the right upward. Next follows an ascent on an asphalt road which higher brings us out of the forest and then with nice views, we reach center of the village Goropeke, where there is the church of St. John the Baptist.
Here we continue right (straight company Žakelj and footpath in Žiri) and we still continue on the asphalt road. Higher, a little after religious symbol road splits, and we choose a slightly left road which past the abandoned ski slope Goropeke, brings us to the mountain hut Dom na Goropekah, which is also closed for some years.
